The programme offers an average of eight hours of support to each business. Eligible businesses will receive support on sales promotion, brand management, identifying value propositions, pricing, digital transformation and identification of grant funding opportunities, helping to increase businesses’ viability and secure long-term business sustainability. This project will be running until the end of 2024.
Councillor Mark Canniford, North Somerset Council’s Executive Member for Placemaking and Economy, said: “A vibrant and busy town centre is a fantastic advert for our region, boosting our local economy and benefitting both residents and visitors alike. North Somerset Council is delighted to offer this support to help local businesses transform our town centres into attractive places for residents to live, work and study.”
To join the programme, organisations must have a trading address within the administrative area of North Somerset and premises in North Somerset or be looking to occupy vacant premises in North Somerset. Your business or activity should be able to bring footfall into a town centre, have long-term growth potential, and operate in the hospitality, visitor economy, community, or creative sectors.
