We're looking for volunteers to join our website testing group and would love to hear from anyone who uses our online services.
Website testing is when people use a website to carry out certain tasks and then provide feedback on how easy it was to achieve those tasks.
The aim is to uncover issues and make sure the website is performing as it should.
What we need
We are looking to recruit a number of volunteers who will:
- test our website remotely from home
- visit the Town Hall to carry out some simple website tasks alongside a member of Council staff
You can sign up for remote testing, in-person testing or both.
In-person testing
You will be invited into our Town Hall offices in Weston-super-Mare for a user-testing session with a member of our digital team. You will be asked to complete a small number of simple tasks on our website and share your feedback with our team member.
No special skills are required for this and the session should take no longer than 45 minutes. You will receive a £10 Amazon voucher for your time.
Remote testing
You will receive an email once or twice a year with an invitation to test certain areas of our website from home.
You will need the following to take part in remote testing:
- an internet connection
- a laptop, smartphone or tablet
You will then be invited to give us your feedback in a short online questionnaire.
How to get involved
If you would like to join our website testing group and help us improve our online services, simply fill in the short form below.
You must be over 18 to take part in the in-person sessions. You can be any age to test from your own home.
