Report a missed collection

Feedback from our recent waste consultation shows that a reliable recycling and waste collection service is very important to residents. We’re committed to getting this right.

If you report a missed collection over the next few weeks, we’ll ask you to complete a short survey. This is so we can find out how our residents feel about our missed collections service and see if there are ways we can improve it.

Before you report a missed collection, check today’s missed collection report to see if we’re already aware of it. The missed collection reports are uploaded to Google Drive at around 6.30pm each weeknight.

If your road is listed, you don’t need to take any action and a crew will be back to collect your bin. You can see the revised collection date on the report.

If your road is not listed on the report, you should report your collection as missed.

You can view the latest report by clicking the button below.

If your bin has not been emptied due to industrial or construction waste inside, this will not be treated as a missed collection.

For more information, see our DIY waste webpage.

In June our crews collected 1,079,380 bins. Of these, 99.91% were collected successfully on the scheduled day of collection.

Reporting a missed collection

If we haven’t emptied your bins on your collection day, you need to tell us by the end of the following working day. For example, if your collection day is Friday you will need to tell us by 11.59pm on Monday.

The quickest way to report your missed collection is to sign in to MyAccount.

After you have told us, leave your bins out so we can come back and empty them. This will usually be within 48 hours of your report.
