Substance Advice Service

What we do

The Substance Advice Service is a specialist service for children and young people, families/carers and professionals.

Our work is based on the Youth Justice System's Child First approach. This means our support of children and families comes first.

We provide information, advice and education around drugs, alcohol and nicotine. We also provide treatment programs for children who want to cut down or quit using drugs and/or alcohol.

After you make a referral

Anyone can make a referral to us. Please fill out the form on this page and send it back to us via email.

We can meet with children and young people wherever they feel more comfortable. This may be at home, in a community setting, at school or college or within our building in Weston-super-Mare.

We can also meet with a child or young person prior to referral if helpful.
