Working with older people roles
Skills sharing
If you are interested in sharing a skill such as a craft, language or a hobby and you would like to deliver a one-off workshop, run a regular group or a short course, we would love to hear from you.
There are opportunities for a range of different events at all of our libraries. Please contact the library volunteering team using the email address below or drop into your local library to discuss your ideas.
Roles for young people
Most of our volunteering roles are open to people aged 14 and over, the exception being home library service volunteers. We also offer Duke of Edinburgh volunteering opportunities for the bronze, silver and gold awards.
If you would like to volunteer with the library service for your Duke of Edinburgh Award, you do not need to attend an information hour. Please contact your local library to find out about Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteering.
Summer Reading Challenge volunteering is available as a short-term opportunity at all libraries between July and September every year. This opportunity is open to everyone aged 14 and over.
