UKSPF community grants: about the grant

Applications for the UKSPF Community Grants have now closed. You can see which projects were funded in 2023 and 2024 on our dedicated webpages.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a fund introduced by the government to replace European funding. UKSPF is focused on local regeneration, employment and skills. Funding has been delegated to local authorities to deliver, with support from local partners.

The fund aims to empower local areas to identify and build on their own strengths and needs.

UKSPF focuses on three 'investment priorities'. These priorities are:

  • community and place
  • supporting local business
  • people and skills

Community Grants

The UKSPF Community Grants programme responds to the community and place investment priority and aims to:

  • strengthen our social fabric and foster a sense of local pride and belonging
  • build pride in place and increase life chances in our local communities
  • build resilient and safe neighbourhoods
