There are many heritage projects across North Somerset that are looking for volunteers.
Work can vary from clearing vegetation on at-risk heritage sites, to being involved with research projects and working with Weston Museum.
We have included some ongoing projects and groups that welcome contact from any potential volunteers.
Volunteers are an essential part of the Know Your Place North Somerset Sharing Heritage project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Join a group of volunteers working hard to clear vegetation at, and raise awareness of, Worlebury Camp hillfort. Their goal is to help remove it from Historic England’s Heritage at Risk register.

The North Somerset Heritage Forum is made up of community-led interest groups who have regular volunteering opportunities.
Open to young explorers aged 8-16, the club meets for a fun, interesting and active session each month, either at Weston Museum or for occasional trips out to historical locations in the local area.
