- EA1 – request for formal screening opinion
Decides if an environmental statement is needed. No consultation required and 21 day target to decide.
- EA2 – request for formal scoping opinion
Decides what an environmental statement needs to cover. 21 days consultation and 25 day target to decide.
- EIA1 – Request for a formal screening opinion about the need for an Environmental Impact Assessment– this is not a planning application, no consultation is required and a planning application will need to be received, consulted on and approved before any works can start.
- EIA2 – Request for a formal scoping opinion about what impacts an Environmental Statement should cover – this is not a planning application, no consultation is required and a planning application will need to be received, consulted on and approved before any works can start.
- EIA3 – Request for formal screening and scoping opinion – this is not a planning application, no consultation is required and a planning application will need to be received, consulted on and approved before any works can start.
- FUL – full planning permission

Application types not needing formal consultation will still be included in the weekly list of new applications, and will be sent to local parish and town councils for information.
