Bristol Airport have started a community consultation exercise around their new master plan. This sets out how the airport will change by 2040.
They are also setting out draft proposals for the new infrastructure. They consider this to be necessary to increase passenger numbers from the current limit of 12 million passengers per annum to 15 million.
The consultation for both the master plan and proposed increase in passenger numbers will run until 31 January 2025.
The airport will run the consultation directly. The council has no direct involvement.
Bristol Airport will need to obtain planning permission to expand the airport. If a planning application is submitted, we will undertake the required publicity and consultation. This will give everyone an opportunity to send us their views.
If you would like to have your say on these proposals, send your comments to Bristol Airport via their website.
