Statement of community involvement
Our statement of community involvement shows how we include the community in preparing new planning policies and making decisions on planning applications.
It has been revised to take account of legislative changes and changes in working practices. The revised version for 2019 was adopted at Council on 24 September 2019.

Local aggregates assessment for the West of England
The National Planning Policy Framework requires minerals planning authorities to plan for a steady and adequate supply of aggregates by preparing a local aggregates assessment (LAA) each year, based on a rolling average of 10 year sales data and other relevant information.
The LAA for the West of England has been jointly prepared by Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
