Applications to discharge these joinery conditions will need accurate drawings and details:
- drawings should be drawn at a scale of 1:10 or 1:20.
- when traditional or historic features are being replaced:
- the location of the existing features should be clearly identified on an existing elevation drawing
- section drawings of the existing joinery are required at a scale of 1:1 or 1:2
- proposed joinery sections are required and should be drawn at a scale of 1:1 or 1:2
- proposed joinery sections for windows and doors should show the wall in which they are mounted to show the depth of reveal
- details of the proposed joinery materials are required, for example: 'sustainably sourced hardwood stained with…'
