On 12 April 2023, Locking Parish Council submitted an application for designation of a Neighbourhood Area for Locking. This will comprise the entire parish of Locking, as outlined in blue on the area map.
Locking Parish Council is the relevant body who applied for the designation under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
On 10 May 2023, the decision to designate the Neighbourhood Area was signed by Cllr Canniford, Executive Member for spatial planning, placemaking and economy.
Locking Neighbourhood Area has now been designated.
