A planning application has been submitted on North Somerset Council’s behalf outlining proposals for the first phase of its work on the Birnbeck Pier project.

North Somerset Council have restarted environmental enabling works needed to build the Banwell bypass. The works include new planting, fencing and some vegetation clearance. 

North Somerset Council is asking people to put forward potential locations after receiving funding to improve the charging infrastructure in the area.

Young care leavers are accessing free bus travel across North Somerset and the West of England Combined Authority areas, thanks to the WESTfares pass. Since the scheme was launched in November for national Care Leavers Week, over 400 applications have been submitted for a pass and over 26,000 free journeys have been made.

More on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging points are set be installed across North Somerset thanks to hundreds of thousands of pounds of new funding.
