North Somerset Council’s Safer Communities team has launched the Teachable Moments Engagement Car. This project has been set up to support young people at risk of committing or falling victim to crime.

North Somerset Council’s Safer Communities Anti-Social Behaviour Officer and Community Response team can continue their vital work in North Somerset communities after having their police powers renewed. 

The Campus Library is officially twinned with the Central Children’s Library in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The two libraries are growing their connection and exchanging knowledge by enjoying festive events that celebrate each other’s culture.

North Somerset Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Community Grants scheme supported 17 organisations last year to deliver impactful local projects. They focused on cultural events, improved wellbeing, improved engagement, and increasing volunteering opportunities.

A RED weather warning for wind is in place across North Somerset from 3am to 11am on Saturday 7 December, as a result of Storm Darragh. It will remain very windy throughout the day, with AMBER wind warnings remaining until Saturday evening.
