A new planting scheme has been created for the floral clock in Weston-super-Mare’s town centre, and plants are expected arrive at the end of April. 

With high tides and strong winds forecast for the next few days, North Somerset residents are being urged to be aware of the anticipated conditions. 

North Somerset Council is supporting local businesses and social enterprises to increase the viability of remaining in or taking on town centre units across the region. The Town Centre Occupancy Project, funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), aims to provide support for businesses to achieve both sustainability and growth.  

Business Support Unlocked (BSU) launched in April 2023 and continues to provide completely free access to information and guidance on starting and managing a business. This includes support with early growth, key priorities and even future proofing through development of sustainable business practices.  

More on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging points are set be installed across North Somerset thanks to hundreds of thousands of pounds of new funding.
