North Somerset Council welcomes the announcement that JLR (formerly Jaguar Land Rover) will be building its giga factory at Gravity Business Park in Somerset. Birnbeck Holdings Ltd have agreed to sell Birnbeck Pier to North Somerset Council today (Thursday 13 July), avoiding the need for a legal Compulsory Purchase Order Public Inquiry which was scheduled to take place in August.
