North Somerset EBSA support

We are pleased to introduce the North Somerset Emotionally-Based School Avoidance (EBSA) pathway and pre-pathway.

The pathways aim to help schools in the following ways:

  • Pre-pathway: a screening tool to aid identification of young people at risk of developing EBSA
  • Pathway: guides the response of schools and colleges to students who have reduced attendance from education for a prolonged period

Alongside the pathways, we have produced guidance documents, training videos and banks of resources to meet the underlying needs of children and young people with emotionally-based attendance difficulties.
