Guy Clayton - Principal Educational Psychologist
My name is Guy Clayton, and I am proud to be the Principal Educational Psychologist for the North Somerset area. I have over a decade of professional experience as an educational psychologist.
While management responsibilities now occupy most of my time, I still find great fulfilment in being directly involved with students through school casework. I have particular interests in the areas of literacy difficulties, mental health, and ADHD.
Vicky Biu - Acting Senior Educational Psychologist
I provide consultations, assessment, and training to a range of mainstream and specialist education settings. I also offer psychological advice as part of the statutory assessment process.
I also provide preventative support to the local authority. I oversee nurture groups in North Somerset, offering supervision to nurture leads and headteachers. Recently, I have begun working with the School Placement Support Team, offering individual supervision and systemic support.
Sam Bougourd - Acting Senior Educational Psychologist
I am Sam Bougourd, an Acting Senior Educational Psychologist working here in North Somerset. I have been qualified as an Educational Psychologist since graduating from the Exeter training programme in 2018.
Before joining North Somerset in 2021, I worked in other local educational psychology services in the South West.
Dulcie Gray - Acting Senior Educational Psychologist
I’m Dulcie Gray. I’m an Acting Senior Educational Psychologist within North Somerset Educational Psychology Service.
In my role I cover two different patches of schools across Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare. I also lead on the Educational Psychology support within the Early Years (0 to 5 years-old), and on the Service’s preventative offer for schools.
Anya Matossian - Educational Psychologist
I’m Anya Matossian. I am a newly qualified Educational Psychologist, having recently finished my training at the University of Bristol.
Before becoming an EP, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school in Glasgow, and then as a Research Assistant with an Educational Psychology Service as part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge.
Josh Dyer – Educational Psychologist
I am Josh Dyer, a Chartered Educational Psychologist. My role balances statutory assessments of Special Educational Needs (or Education, Health and Care Needs assessments) with the creation of digital learning content for teaching and support staff in North Somerset.
I also have worked as a Senior Educational Psychologist with a specialism in Early Years psychology and have been the designated Educational Psychologist for a range of education settings.
Becky Davis - Educational Psychologist
I am Becky Davis, an Educational Psychologist working in North Somerset. I qualified as an Educational Psychologist in 2015, and since beginning my training in 2012, I have worked in four different local authorities across Southwest England and Wales.
I also work as a researcher on the team. My recent project involved evaluating the effectiveness of a group-based mental health intervention for care-experienced young people.
Finola Holyoak - Educational Psychologist
I am Dr Finola Holyoak, a Child and Educational Psychologist (EP). I have been a qualified Educational Psychologist since 2019 and have worked across 4 different local authorities since beginning my training in 2016.
Before I became an Educational Psychologist, I worked in secondary schools in England and New Zealand, and taught English as an additional language to students in Hong Kong.
Joe Bolton - Impact Analyst
I am Joe Bolton, working as an Impact Analyst for the North Somerset Educational Psychologist. I am recent university graduate from Lancaster University majoring in Psychology and aspire to train as an Educational Psychologist myself in the future.
Previously, I have worked as a teaching assistant, an assistant educational psychologist and doing IT innovation and partnering.
